Harvard needs little or no introduction. Everyone knows about it and it is acclaimed throughout the world. Tourists flock to take pictures at Harvard Yard and buy sweatshirts. I recently had the chance to visit campus on a beautiful fall day and it is just as vibrant and stunning as you expect it to be. Situated in Cambridge, right by the Charles River, students have endless opportunities for activity on campus, and all throughout Boston. The school is also surrounded by wonderful restaurants and shops, and major companies are easily within walking distance, which is terrific for internship potential. As part of the Ivy League, fans get to enjoy exciting athletic seasons against Harvard’s spirited rivals.

Established in 1636, Harvard is the oldest university in the U.S. Its motto is "Veritas" (Truth), and its campus is full of historical buildings and beautiful libraries, including the renowned Widener Library.
Its deep history includes hosting troops during the American Revolution!
Widener Library has over 3.5 million books, and even an underground network of stacks!
Traditions:
Students participate in the annual Housing Day, where they are sorted into one of 12 unique Houses. Freshmen learn their dorm assignments through lively skits.
Another popular tradition is the "Harvard-Yale Game," an intense football rivalry dating back to 1875!
The annual "Head of the Charles Regatta" also draws rowers from around the world. Fans stand along the riverbanks and on the numerous bridges spanning the river to catch a view of the hundreds of boats as they race by.
